Aston Villa coach Steven Gerrard confirms: Ketchup banned with immediate effect

Maria KeaneSteven Gerrard, Aston Villa’s new coach, confirmed during the press conference ahead of his first league game that his professionals will no longer have ketchup with their meals. When a journalist asked whether the sweetened tomato puree is now on the Villa’s black list, he said: “That was deleted before I even saw it.”
Gerrard explained that this move is only a small step in what he expects from his team from now on: “The players have to have the right attitude. They have to strive to be part of the elite,” said the Liverpool legend who took on her first Premier League head coach post at Villa.
Gerrard starts with a home game against Brighton on Saturday. The away game at his ex-club Liverpool will be on December 11th.
In the past few days it had a message from The Athletic given that new coach Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur also cut ketchup and mayonnaise from the menu.
