Toffees player Oumar Niasse will go down as an expensive flop with just two league starts since his £13.5m move.
Niasse, 26, has endured a torrid time in the Premier League since his £13.5million switch from Locomotiv Moscow last January.
The forward has yet to play a full 90 minutes for the Toffees and started just two Premier League matches last campaign.
But Palace chief Alan Pardew is willing to offer him an exit route and hopes to reignite his career by taking Oumar Niasse on loan for the season.
According to Sky Sports, the two clubs are currently in talks over a potential deal.
It comes after winger Yannick Bolasie could be heading in the opposite direction for a fee thought to be around £25m.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman is looking to add new faces to his squad ahead of the upcoming season and hopes Bolasie will be available for the curtain raiser against Tottenham.
He could be the second signing for Koeman inside a week after securing the £12m signing of former Swansea captain Ashley Williams.
