Manchester United pair Juan Mata and Ander Herrera will reportedly consider their futures if Louis van Gaal manages to hold onto his job at Old Trafford.
The 64-year-old is coming under increasing pressure at the Theatre of Dreams, with his side currently on a six-match winless run.
Jose Mourinho’s availability has left United officials tempted to bring in the former Chelsea coach, while Ryan Giggs is another option.
Mata’s been a mainstay in United’s side since last February but Herrera – much to the annoyance of supporters – has struggled to nail down a first-team spot since his £28.5million move from Athletic Bilbao in 2014.
And the Times claim that the pair will consider quitting the club if Van Gaal’s still at the helm in January.
