Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho revealed that the club will definitely sign one more player before the transfer window closes.
Jose Mourinho was speaking to BT Sport in the wake of Wayne Rooney’s testimonial match against Everton at Old Trafford.
With little to discuss after a drab 0-0 draw, attentions turned to United’s pursuit of former player Paul Pogba.
“We are going to sign one more player that is for sure,” said the 53-year-old.
“I don’t want to talk about Paul because he is a Juventus player and I don’t like other managers talking about my players.
“But the reality is that we are going to sign one more player before the market closes on 31st August so we have plenty of time to do that. I would obviously like to do that before the Premier League starts.”
Jose Mourinho has long been linked with a move for Pogba and appears in pole position to sign the France midfielder after it was reported that Real Madrid were unwilling to match United‘s approach for the player – said to be in the region of £100 million.
