Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will have to do without striker Anthony Modeste (33) at Union Berlin on Friday evening (8.30 p.m. / DAZN).
The French striker is ill, the club confirmed SID-Request relevant media reports. Modeste has been successful for the billy goats 15 times this Bundesliga season.
It is possible that U21 national player Jan Thielmann will play Modeste’s role in attack at the Alte Försterei. Second FC attacker at Köpenicker should be ex-Union professional Sebastian Andersson.
In addition to Modeste, FC coach Steffen Baumgart also has to replace Ondrej Duda (5th yellow) who has been suspended, Timo Horn who has the flu, Benno Schmitz (muscular problems) and Kingsley Schindler, who is absent for personal reasons.
