Maria KeaneTop Talent coach Otto Addo from Borussia Dortmund will also take care of the Ghana national team at the World Cup in Qatar (November 21 to December 18).
“Fortunately, we have now discussed it to the end. I have now received permission from Dortmund,” said the 46-year-old in the podcast “HSV – We have to talk” of the Hamburger Abendblatt.
Addo had led Ghana to the finals as caretaker coach in the play-off ties against Nigeria. There, the “Black Stars” meet Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
“Sebastian (editor’s note: Kehl) obviously doesn’t want to prevent me from doing that. Under certain conditions, it’ll work out that I’ll now do the international matches in June and September and definitely take part in the World Cup as a coach for Ghana.” , said Addo, who himself had 15 caps for Ghana.
