BVB, rumour: VfB probably interested in Alexander Meyer from Borussia Dortmund
Reserve goalkeeper Alexander Meyer made twelve competitive appearances in his debut season for BVB and was largely convincing. These achievements are said to have now called VfB Stuttgart onto the scene.
According to information from Sky, the Swabians are interested in the 32-year-old. Meyer played on the Neckar from 2017 to 2019. Last summer he finally switched to BVB after three years at SSV Jahn Regensburg.
Meyer still has a contract in Dortmund until 2024. A transfer would only be likely if Meyer became number one in Stuttgart. Fabian Bredlow (contract until 2024) and Florian Müller (2025) are currently the two goalkeepers at VfB, but Müller is said to be about to leave SC Freiburg.
BVB, News: Personal update about Borussia Dortmund
The Ruhr news have dealt with some player personalities around BVB. An overview:
Belgium’s Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard, returning from loan from Eindhoven, are set to leave the club permanently. Meunier, who is said to be dissatisfied with his situation as a reservist, would let Dortmund go for a mid-single-digit million amount.
It is possible that Soumaila Coulibaly, who is under contract until 2026, will leave the club – possibly on loan.
A sale of Giovanni Reyna does not seem to be up for debate.
A contract extension for Emre Can, who is tied until 2024, is currently not being considered. Dortmund should be ready to talk about a transfer should they receive lucrative offers for Can.
BVB wants to extend Marius Wolf’s contract, which expires in 2024 – but only on performance-related terms.
How things will continue with Mateu Morey, who has been injured for several months and still has a contract until 2024, should be decided in the near future.
BVB, News: Silas Ostrzinski extends at Borussia Dortmund
Silas Ostrzinski, goalkeeper for the Dortmund U23s in the 3rd division, remains loyal to BVB. The 19-year-old has extended his working paper until 2025.
Ostrzinski joined the Borussia youth team in 2018. In his first professional year last season, he played twice in the 3rd division and seven times with the U19s in the Youth League.
BVB, News: Ex-coach Peter Bosz is said to be taking over PSV Eindhoven
Peter Bosz, coach at Borussia Dortmund for five months between July and December 2017, has apparently found a new club. Loud Eindhoven’s Dagblad and Voetbal International Bosz joins PSV Eindhoven and succeeds the retired Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Bosz is set to sign a three-year deal in his home country and will be unveiled on Monday. Most recently, the 59-year-old worked for Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1 from May 2021 to October 2022.
