Alexander Nübel sets condition for return to Monaco loan

Alexander Nübel has set a condition for a return to Bayern Munich. The goalkeeper is on loan to AS Monaco until 2023.

According to the 25-year-old, his future is primarily in the hands of FCB goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer. “I think it’s just a question of ‘when’. He’s having a good season again. He’s the best of all time. If Manu extends it for three or four more years and continues to play at the same level, that’s fine. If not “It’s different. The club decides that in the end. But that doesn’t matter to me now,” said Nübel to the Picture.

However, Nübel does not want to take on the role of number two behind Neuer again. “I don’t think Manuel Neuer will sit on the bench. If he’s there, he’ll play. I don’t think I’ll come back to Bayern in that time,” he explained.

Nübel is currently a clear regular in Monaco. The former Schalke player was on the pitch in all 32 league games. In total, he had to reach behind himself 34 times.

With Neuer, on the other hand, everything points to a contract extension. Like Oliver Kahn in the double pass revealed that the German record champions are in “a very, very good exchange” with the 2014 world champion.

According to media reports, Neuer, whose current contract runs until 2023, is talking about a two-year contract extension.
