FC Bayern Munich will initially have to do without Alphonso Davies (22) at the end of the season.
According to the club, the Canadian suffered a muscle bundle injury in his left rear thigh during Saturday’s defeat at FSV Mainz 05 (1:3) and will be “missed for the time being”. The Munich team did not provide any information on Sunday about the exact downtime.
Davies had already gone down in the early stages in Mainz after a running duel and had to be replaced.
Defender Lucas Hernandez is also currently unavailable to FC Bayern. The Frenchman was injured at the World Cup in Qatar.
Only Joao Cancelo is currently left for the left-back position.
