Maria KeaneAndre Breitenreiter becomes the new coach of TSG Hoffenheim. The 48-year-old inherits Sebastian Hoeneß, from whom the Kraichgauer parted last week. Breitenreiter signed with the club of majority owner Dietmar Hopp until June 2024.
TSG released Breitenreiter from his one-year contract with FC Zurich for allegedly around 300,000 euros. The coach had surprisingly led the capital club to the championship in Switzerland last season. In the Bundesliga, Breitenreiter has been on the sidelines at SC Paderborn, Schalke 04 and Hannover 96.
