Alphonso Davies will apparently be missing from FC Bayern Munich longer than was initially assumed from the diagnosis published on Sunday. That reports sports1.
Accordingly, the German record champions have to do without the Canadian for at least a month. The end of the season cannot be ruled out either – the last Bundesliga game is on May 27th at 1. FC Köln.
In its press release, FC Bayern only stated that Davies suffered a muscle bundle injury in his left rear thigh against Mainz 05 on Saturday and would be “missing for the time being”.
The Munich team had not given any precise information about the downtime.
Only João Cancelo is currently left for the upcoming tasks in the Bundesliga.
Defender Lucas Hernández is also currently not available to coach Thomas Tuchel’s team. The Frenchman tore his cruciate ligament at the World Cup in Qatar and is currently working on his comeback.
