Banned Marco Rose has "complete confidence in the coaching team"

Coach Marco Rose from the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund does not believe in a big disadvantage for his team due to his suspension in the Revierderby at VfL Bochum on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky). “It’s not a big issue for us in preparation. I can’t intervene in and around the game to prepare the boys, but should be possible. Of course, I have complete confidence in the coaching team,” said Rose on Thursday at the press conference.

In the 2: 3 against record champions Bayern Munich last Saturday, Rose had seen referee Felix Zwayer (Berlin) yellow-red because of “repeated unsportsmanlike conduct”.

BVB may even be able to fall back on national player Julian Brandt in Bochum, who had to be replaced prematurely with a head injury against Bayern. Brandt had “moved a bit on Thursday, he may be an option for Saturday. However, after head injuries, some requirements have to be met so that the player can be used again,” explained Rose.

The small derby against VfL could not take the place of the big neighborhood duel against the current second division club Schalke 04. “I know that Bochum is geographically closer than the other rivals, but I don’t think it can replace the Revierderby,” said the BVB coach. Bochum is in a good mood, “they certainly have the feeling that they have the momentum to beat us.”
