Bayer Leverkusen will probably bring Jonas Hofmann from Borussia Mönchengladbach

Bayer Leverkusen have probably signed Jonas Hofmann from Borussia Mönchengladbach. He reports that table football. The national player should make use of an exit clause in his contract, which is still valid until 2025, and cost the fixed transfer fee of ten million euros. A confirmation from the clubs is still pending, but Gladbach is already looking for a replacement, they say.

Hofmann, who had been traded several times as a new signing at FC Bayern last year, extended his contract in Gladbach in August 2022, but negotiated the said clause.

For Gladbach it is the next top-class departure this summer: Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan), Ramy Bensebaini (BVB) and Lars Stindl (Karlsruher SC) have already left the foals in the past few weeks.

Hofmann comes from the Hoffenheim youth team, from where he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2011. After spending the 2014/15 season on loan at Mainz 05, the versatile right-footed player switched to Borussia in January 2016 for a fee of eight million euros.

Last season, the 21-time national player played 33 games for Gladbach. Hofmann scored 14 goals and 12 assists.
