Bayern Munich lends 18-year-old talent Gabriel Vidovic to Dutch first division side Vitesse Arnhem for a season.
“Gabriel has shown with his good performances in preparation that he is rightly in our professional squad. We have now considered together what is best for his development and have decided to go on loan to Vitesse Arnhem. Gabriel has better chances there, regularly to play,” said sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.
Vidovic has played for FC Bayern since the U15s. The offensive player has played four competitive games for the record champions so far. Last year he made his debut for Croatia U21s.
After an extension in February, Vidovic’s contract with FC Bayern runs until 2025. So far he has played four games for the record champions’ pros. Here is a detailed portrait of Bayern youngster Vidovic.
FC Bayern was reportedly looking for a buyer within the Bundesliga for Vidovic. It was reported on Saturday that Hertha BSC and Borussia Mönchengladbach were hot candidates. But the clubs did not find an agreement in the talks about the modalities of a loan.
