Benjamin Henrichs makes racist insults public

Maria KeaneRB Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs has reported racial slurs against himself and his family after beating Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal.
“We live in a society where anyone can spread hate and racism online,” the 26-year-old wrote under a video he posted on the platform under the hashtag “sad truth.” tik tok published.
“We won 2-0 against Dortmund in the cup today and I’ll show you what my DMs (personal messages, ed.) look like after such a win in the cup. Have fun,” said Henrichs with a serious expression. In the 41-second clip, he then shared photos of messages that had reached him on social networks after reaching the semi-finals late Wednesday evening.
In the news, Henrichs, whose mother is from Ghana, and his family are insulted and racist. Among other things, injuries are desired for the RB professional, and some users are also directed against his club.
Leipzig commented on Thursday afternoon. “We are 100 percent behind you, Benny,” wrote the club Twitter. RB condemns “any form of racism, anti-Semitism and does not tolerate any form of discrimination,” said a statement that the 2022 cup winner published on the platform. Leipzig stands for “diversity and openness, for human dignity and tolerance, for a colorful and peaceful club and fan culture, for the basic values of society”.
