A former Schalke player has apparently aroused the interest of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. According to the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport, the negotiations between the German runner-up and Weston McKennie are in an advanced phase.
The American international was loaned to Leeds United by Italian record champions Juventus Turin in the second half of last season.
McKennie moved from Schalke to Turin in September 2020. His contract there runs until June 2025.
BVB has already bagged two transfers this summer in midfielder Felix Nmecha and full-back Ramy Bensebaini.
