BVB, rumor: Instagram clause in Felix Nmecha’s contract?
Felix Nmecha, Borussia Dortmund’s second signing for the 2023/24 season, is said to have anchored an Instagram clause in his contract. That reports the Wolfsburg General Newspaper.
Accordingly, he would have to shell out a fine in the millions if he published posts that violate the basic values of BVB. Borussia wants to at least secure itself economically in the worst case.
The background is that the 22-year-old has attracted negative attention in the past with controversial posts because they were classified as homophobic and transphobic. “As a matter of principle, we do not comment on the content of the contract,” said BVB.
The Ruhr news report that there is no such clause in Nmecha’s contract. Instead, contracts at Borussia Dortmund should generally stipulate that the players face penalties for violations of the club’s basic values.
BVB, rumor: Will Gregor Kobel be the new Dortmund captain?
Marco Reus announced on Thursday that he was giving up his captaincy at Borussia Dortmund after five years. Loud Picture goalkeeper Gregor Kobel should be a hot candidate for the successor.
Mats Hummels should therefore remain vice-captain. In addition to Kobel, Niklas Süle and Emre Can should also be in the raffle for the Reus successor. Nico Schlottbeck, on the other hand, only has outsider chances.
