According to media reports, Gerardo Seoane is the “top candidate” for the vacant coaching position at Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 44-year-old Swiss could therefore follow Daniel Farke, who was released last week after just one season.
Seoane worked at Bayer Leverkusen until October. With the BSC Young Boys he won the Swiss championship three times in a row (2019 to 2021). At that time he was already being discussed with Borussia, who then decided on Adi Hütter.
Other candidates in Gladbach are U23 coach Eugen Polanski, Oliver Glasner, who has just divorced Eintracht Frankfurt, and Ralph Hasenhüttl (including former RB Leipzig). Gladbach is starting the new season with a new coach for the third time in a row.
