Borussia Mönchengladbach’s season opening game against Bayern Munich will be played in front of a maximum of 23,000 fans in Borussia Park on August 13th (8.30 p.m.) instead of 25,000 visitors – provided the incidence number is below 35. Free advance sales began on Monday on the online ticket portal .
The reason for the reduction of 2,000 tickets was given by the foals: “As Borussia-Park only offers seats and these places have to be arranged in a checkerboard pattern, a total of almost 23,000 tickets can be sold for the foals’ opening game on August 13th.” If the incidence is below 35, the capacity of the football stadiums is capped at 25,000 spectators.
Only vaccinated, recovered or tested fans are allowed into the stadium. The mask requirement applies until the pitch is reached, the tracking of chains of infection through personalized tickets is mandatory for all Bundesliga clubs.
