Maria KeaneÖFB legionnaire Hannes Wolf is about to say goodbye to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Sports director Max Eberl confirms this.
Hannes Wolf has only played 303 Bundesliga minutes under compatriot Adi Hütter this season. Without goal participation. Bitter for the Gladbachers, who put 9.5 million euros on the table for the 15-time ÖFB U21 team player.
“It’s possible that something will happen in the next few days,” says Gladbach’s sports director Max Eberl at a press conference about the 22-year-old Austrian. Eberl does not answer whether it is a loan or a sale: “We will see when the time comes.”
Wolf, who scored 44 points for Red Bull Salzburg in 89 games, has not been able to assert himself in either Leipzig or Gladbach since moving to the Bundesliga.
