Bosses apparently want to extend the contract with Hasan Salihamidzic

Hasan Salihamidzic’ contract with FC Bayern Munich is dated until the summer of 2023 – but the sports director is now waving an extension of his contract.

As the sports picture reports that Bayern want to keep their most important employee in the sporting area alongside coach Julian Nagelsmann at the club for longer.

Despite some bad investments and setbacks, those responsible are very satisfied with Salihamidzic’s work, CEO Oliver Kahn and President Herbert Hainer could therefore very well imagine extending the contract with the 44-year-old.

Apparently, the club is confident that both sides will come together later this year. In any case, considerations in other directions or the interest in alternatives to Salihamidzic have long been off the table internally. In the past, Gladbach sports director Max Eberl had been repeatedly associated with the record champions.

However, Salihamidzic will have to wait a few more months before things can get concrete with his superiors: Bayern usually extend contracts with their board members a year before the end of the respective period at the earliest. So nothing concrete will happen before the summer.
