Maria KeanePromoted SpVgg Greuther Fürth complains of a corona outbreak in his Bundesliga team. According to trainer Stefan Leitl, there are five positive cases with the clover leaf. “These players are in quarantine at home and have no longer had contact with the team,” said Leitl on Friday, but gave the all-clear regarding the game at SC Freiburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m.): “We can play.”
“When it sucks, it just sucks, and it comes to that,” said the coach of the bottom of the table. The SpVgg did not initially publish the names of those affected. All of them had mild symptoms, one almost none, said managing director Rachid Azzouzi and emphasized: “We are almost completely vaccinated.”
Coach Leitl is “convinced that something can still be possible in Freiburg”, although he only has 15 players in the squad there: “That can release strength. It will be very difficult, but not impossible. We will bring a powerful squad onto the field . “
Defender Marco Meyerhöfer, who has a bad cold, and Justin Hoogma are also not available. The defender suffered a partial tear in the inner ligament in his left knee and was “out for several weeks,” said Leitl.
With one point from nine games, the Franks are in last place. “We believe in our way,” said Azzouzi. Leitl had strengthened his back during the week.
