That is the result of the federal-state consultations on Tuesday. “One can assume that the Bundesliga should continue to play without spectators. That is the right decision,” said Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) afterwards.
There will be another meeting this week, when resolutions will also be taken. “There are different approaches,” said Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) and recommended “to get along in the professional leagues without spectators until the end of the year”. If there is no agreement on a uniform nationwide regulation, one would “go it alone in Bavaria”.
In Saxony, the match between RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen (1: 3) took place last Sunday without spectators. Baden-Württemberg is also in favor of ghost games.
