Gladbach wins mini tournament

Borussia Mönchengladbach won the Cup of Traditions in Duisburg. The team of the new coach Daniel Farke was enough after a 1:0 against the third division club MSV Duisburg against the Spanish first division team Athletic Bilbao to win the tournament.

Duisburg and Bilbao drew 1-1. The playing time was 45 minutes per game.

FC Schalke – FC Augsburg 1:1

Bayer Leverkusen – Panathinaikos Athens 0-0

Bayer Leverkusen is still looking for form three weeks before the start of the league. The Champions League participants had to settle for a 0-0 draw against Greek first division club Panathinaikos Athens in Zell am See, Austria.

Leverkusen starts the new season on August 6th at runners-up Borussia Dortmund.

Kickers Offenbach – 1. FC Cologne 0:2

After the narrow defeat against Italy’s champions AC Milan on Saturday, 1. FC Köln came back with a win on Sunday. The Rhinelanders won 2-0 (1-0) at fourth-division club Kickers Offenbach.

Denis Huseinbasic (12th) and Sargis Adamyan (88th) scored the goals. Huseinbasic moved from Offenbach to Cologne in the summer.
