BVB brings Felix Nmecha from VfL Wolfsburg

Borussia Dortmund officially announced the signing of Felix Nmecha from VfL Wolfsburg on Monday.

The 22-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with BVB that runs until 2028. According to consistent media reports, the transfer fee should amount to 30 million euros.

“Felix Nmecha is a fast, technically skilled and physically strong player who will enrich our midfield with his profile, both offensively and defensively. He has enjoyed a first-class education at Manchester City and played to the fore at Wolfsburg last season.” , said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl and emphasized: “We are happy to have another German national player enthusiastic about us and are convinced that Felix’s development is far from over.”

Nmecha’s contract with the Wolves ran until 2025. He must now help the runners-up to close the gap left by Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid.

Nmecha joined VfL on a free transfer from Manchester City two years ago. There he even developed into a German national player. In March 2023, Nmecha celebrated his debut in the DFB jersey.

In the past Bundesliga season he had three goals and six assists in 30 games.
