Maria KeaneAn aerial bomb from the Second World War forced the Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund to evacuate its stadium on Thursday.
“The Signal-Iduna-Park had to be evacuated because of a necessary bomb disposal in the stadium Rote Erde,” said organization director Christian Hockenjos SID.
The ordnance disposal service had to move to the old arena right next to the BVB stadium around noon in order to render the 250-kilogram dud harmless. According to information from the city of Dortmund, all closures were lifted in the afternoon.
