After beating VfL Wolfsburg 6-1, Borussia Dortmund has already secured participation in the Champions League.
With twelve points still to be awarded, the second in the table has just such a twelve-point lead over fifth place. But since Bayer Leverkusen (4th) and SC Freiburg (5th) meet on the last day of the game, BVB can no longer slip out of the premier class places.
This is Dortmund’s seventh time in a row in Europe’s top competition. Most recently, the black and yellow missed the Champions League as seventh of the 2014/15 season under Jürgen Klopp. However, BVB did not advance further than the quarter-finals.
