BVB interest? Marcel Halstenberg from RB Leipzig comments

Marcel Halstenberg was apparently in contact with Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Now the defender of RB Leipzig has commented on a possible BVB change.

“There was contact, but the whole thing was not feasible, mainly because of my injury,” said Halstenberg in an interview with the Sports buzzer.

“I didn’t really want to leave RB, I had a wonderful and successful time here and I didn’t gamble either. We just couldn’t agree on a contract extension. And then all parties see how things can go on. Now everyone sees clear pictures” , added Halstenberg.

Halstenberg’s contract expires next summer, and the 30-year-old is currently working on his comeback after a knee injury.
