According to reports, BVB already agrees with Álvarez. In principle, Ajax shouldn’t have anything against a change of the 25-year-old, but they have clear ideas about the transfer, which they don’t want to deviate from.
BVB – Rumor: Is Marco Reus handing over the captain’s armband?
The 34-year-old Marco Reus is said to be thinking about giving up the BVB captain’s armband voluntarily after five years. That reports the sports picturei.e.
Most recently, Dortmund boss Hans-Joachim Watzke hinted that there could be a generational change. “We already said when we extended the contracts of Marco and Mats Hummels that at some point we will have to change generations and transfer responsibility to younger players who want and can do it. But these are very natural processes,” said Watzke in the picture on sunday explained.
And the 63-year-old continues: “We always clarify the captain’s question during the summer preparations when we have the entire squad together.”
To the PictureAccording to reports, goalkeeper Gregor Kobel or defender Niklas Süle could take over for Reus.
Record national player Lothar Matthäus and BVB legend Karl-Heinz Riedle have responded to the criticism of national coach Hansi Flick of Niklas Süle. “I can’t really go with the thing,” said Riedle RTL Nitro. From his point of view, Süle played a good season.
Matthäus suspected Flick’s attempt “to tease one or two percent out of Süle with this decision” behind the non-nomination for the upcoming international matches, which was associated with public criticism.
In any case, Süle seems fit to him, the 62-year-old explained further: “I don’t necessarily want to play against him. His physique gives the impression that he has a few kilos too much. But that’s similar to Gnabry. They’re just from built that way by stature and that’s how you have to take them.”
“For me, Niki could be one of the best central defenders there is. His potential is huge,” said the national coach on Wednesday FAZ said: “But I think he leaves a lot behind.”
BVB – News: Dortmund confirms Bellingham transfer
