BVB, News: Streich annoyed before the Dortmund game
SC Freiburg head coach Christian Streich was annoyed at the press conference before the game against BVB because of Breisgau’s miserable record in Dortmund.
In ten games as a guest at BVB, Streich scored just one point with Freiburg, with a record of 6:34 goals. He’s not desperate, says Streich, but “it annoys me. Not every day. But it annoys me when I hear that.”
The 57-year-old also stated that there “would have been better times” for an away game at BVB. But he added that he was confident of being able to “stand up to Dortmund”: “We have the opportunity to improve the statistics. It’s about time.”
BVB, News: Haller and Dahoud are in the Dortmund CL squad
After Sébastien Haller and Mahmoud Dahoud were not in BVB’s Champions League squad in the group stage, Dortmund can now hope that the two will play in the round of 16 against Chelsea (February 15 and March 7).
Haller, Dahoud and also winter newcomer Julian Ryerson have been promoted to the 25-player A list for the knockout phase of the champions and are therefore eligible to play against the Blues.
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Abdoulaye Kamara and Thorgan Hazard, who was loaned to Eindhoven, were all dropped from the A list. However, Bynoe-Gittens could still be nominated via the B list.
BVB, News: Aubameyang removed from Chelsea’s CL squad
BVB’s opponents in the round of 16, Chelsea FC, have also published the squad for the knockout phase and removed ex-Dortmund player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the squad.
The winter newcomers Mychajlo Mudryk, Enzo Fernández and João Félix, on the other hand, made it into the squad for the two games against BVB.
