BVB, news and rumours: Haaland return sooner than expected?

Dortmund’s top striker Erling Haaland could apparently return to the pitch sooner than originally thought. That reports sports1. After tearing a muscle fiber in the game against Hoffenheim, he is already on the mend.

According to the report, the Norwegian could play again for the next Bundesliga matchday in early February against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. That would be good news for Dortmund, as the team in the league scores an average of 1.3 more goals with Haaland on the field than without him (source: opta).

BVB, rumor: Dortmund probably wants to extend with Guerreiro

Dortmund’s management apparently wants to push for a contract extension with left-back Raphael Guerreiro. BVB says so Ruhr news already made clear to the Portuguese.

The 28-year-old still has a contract with Dortmund until 2023. In 2016 he came from FC Lorient for an estimated transfer fee of 12 million euros. Even before his extension in 2019, some top teams such as Paris St-Germain and FC Barcelona were interested in Guerreiro.

BVB, News: Rose starts second winter preparation

Due to the weekend without games, Borussia Dortmund has almost two weeks to prepare for the next competitive game in the Bundesliga against Leverkusen. Coach Marco Rose agrees that there is enough time to sharpen one or the other process.

“We’ll use the break and train well. The focus will be on defending and tackling,” Rose announced right after the Hoffenheim game. A test match is loud Ruhr news but not planned for this time.
