BVB, News: Marco Reus bitches the ARD reporter

The bitter elimination in the cup against St. Pauli, another low blow for BVB: Marco Reus was pretty upset right after the final whistle in Hamburg – and countered ARD– Field reporter Valeska Homburg unusually violent. She had put forward the thesis that Bayern had already rushed in the title race.

Reus’ sharp reply: “Where did Bayern hurry? Six points, that’s right… And we’re out in the Champions League, that’s absolutely right. But should we give up now, or what? We have to let that sink in first and Then it continues on Saturday. We obviously missed a huge opportunity to win the trophy again this year. It’s very, very bitter right now.”

BVB, News: Rose sees the old Dortmund problem

Once again, Borussia didn’t manage to deliver a similarly concentrated and tight presentation in the following game on a strong performance like Freiburg. A classic BVB pattern of recent years, as coach Marco Rose had to state soberingly.

“It’s just a shame and a bit stupid of us that we’re using exactly the clichés again,” said Rose on ARD. “It’s a pity that in the third game in a row – after a top performance against Freiburg, after a twisted game against Frankfurt, in which we had all these qualities – we didn’t do better. That’s exactly what we’re talking about: not starting a series , which sometimes goes for seven, eight or nine games. That has to be our aim. The finality makes it particularly bitter tonight – and it’s just our fault, that’s it.”

BVB, News: Rose on Haaland: “We didn’t do much with it”

In the run-up to the game at FC St. Pauli, the BVB coach commented on the Haaland cause, among other things, and was obviously trying to cool down the situation a bit. “He was no different than in the weeks before. Erling worked well. We as a team didn’t make much of it. And to be honest, we didn’t even notice it, we worked well,” said Rose on “Sky”. The player has been “completely normal” in the last few days after his verbal advance.

BVB, News: Zorc on the Zwayer cause: “Disgusting”

Also before the game was BVB sports director Michael Zorc skymicrophone and commented, among other things, on Felix Zwayer and his statement that he had received death threats since the Dortmund game against Bayern. “I find that disgusting and in no way to be tolerated or justified,” Zorc said. “Unfortunately, things like that, to be honest, are a bit in line with the zeitgeist at the moment.” Here is the full message.
