BVB, news and rumours: Talented striker is not allowed to go to the USA

BVB, rumor: Talented striker Julian Rijkhoff is not allowed to go to the USA

The young striker Julian Rijkhoff is apparently not allowed to travel to the training camp in the USA with the professionals. As the Ruhr Nachrichten report, the talented striker has to go back to the U23s for the remainder of the summer preparations.

Although Rijkhoff scored a goal against Westfalia Rhynern in the BVB test, he “lacks tactical maturity, especially in counterpressing and when switching defensively,” says the report.

Rijkhoff recently confessed to Borussia Dortmund to the newspaper, but the statement was not absolute, but also linked to further development on the way to becoming a professional. Due to the renewed step backwards, a transfer this summer is also an option. There is interest from Spain and the Netherlands.

BVB, rumor: Transfer of Marcel Sabitzer probably shortly before completion

Borussia Dortmund may soon welcome the second midfield transfer of the summer. As reported by Sky, Marcel Sabitzer from FC Bayern Munich is about to switch to BVB.

There is already a full agreement between the clubs – the black and yellow should transfer a maximum of 19 million euros to Munich if all bonus payments are received.

Sabitzer himself is already in agreement with Borussia. He is expected to sign a contract until 2027.

BVB, rumor: Gregor Kobel is facing a hefty salary increase

According to the picture, BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl and Gregor Kobel’s advisor Philipp Degen are said to have recently exchanged views on contracts – with a probably positive result. As the newspaper reports, Gregor Kobel is about to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund.

With the new working paper, a hefty salary increase is also on the agenda: Instead of the previous 3.5 million euros, the BVB top performer should receive at least ten million euros from BVB in the coming year. Kobel would not be far away from the current top earner Niklas Süle (twelve million euros).

There is no need to rush – Kobel’s current contract runs until 2026. How many years will be added to the other three is still open.
