BVB probably without Erling Haaland and Mats Hummels against Bayer Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund apparently has to do without Erling Haaland and Mats Hummels in the top game in the Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday (3.30 p.m. LIVE on DAZN). This reported the Bild newspaper on Wednesday evening.

Striker Haaland, who is out due to muscular problems, will not get fit in time. Hummels (33) cannot play because of a bacterial infection. There was initially no confirmation from the club.

Haaland’s absence in particular would hit BVB hard, the Norwegian has scored 14 of Dortmund’s 52 goals this season. If the 21-year-old fails, BVB is missing one of the most important pillars in the offensive game.

Dortmund is six points behind leaders Bayern Munich in the table. Third-placed Leverkusen have eight points fewer than BVB.
