BVB's goal is to win the championship.

The 2022/23 Bundesliga season is slowly coming to an end. BVB is still in the fight for the championship. But which opponents does Borussia still have to play against this season? SPOX takes a look at the rest of Dortmund’s program for you.

BVB is having a strong season in the Bundesliga. With six games to go, Borussia Dortmund is second in the table with 57 points. Two points separate BVB from leaders FC Bayern Munich. Will Dortmund catch up with their big rivals from the south and secure their first championship title in eleven years?

BVB: Remaining program in the Bundesliga – games, opponents, dates

BVB self-confidently declared winning the championship as their goal a few Bundesliga games before the end. Shortly before the end of the 2022/23 season, Borussia Dortmund has held the title longer than it has in a long time. In order to win the long-awaited championship title, BVB still has to gain ground on FC Bayern Munich – and there are still some tough opponents waiting for Edin Terzic’s team.

The first major hurdle awaits BVB on Matchday 29. In the top game on Saturday, BVB expects Eintracht Frankfurt, who, despite the current phase of weakness, are still fighting for places in the European Cup. After the district derby against VfL Bochum, Borussia from Dortmund will meet VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach on the 31st and 32nd match day. Not easy opponents for BVB, Edin Terzic’s team lost to both teams in the first half of the season.

Borussia Dortmund will face FC Augsburg on the penultimate match day before they meet Mainz 05 in front of their home crowd on match day 34. BVB still has four home games to play, and Dortmund have to play away from home twice this season.

BVB, Bundesliga – The performance in recent years

BVB is one of the most successful clubs in Bundesliga history. Borussia Dortmund is in second place in the all-time table, behind big rivals FC Bayern Munich.

And in recent years, BVB has established itself as an absolute top team. Dortmund are permanent guests in the Champions League, only in the 2014/15 season did Borussia not qualify for the premier class.

However, the big hit in the Bundesliga was a few years ago. Under coach Jürgen Klopp, BVB experienced the most successful years in the club’s recent history. Borussia Dortmund was German champion twice under Jürgen Klopp. Can BVB lift the championship trophy this year for the first time since the 2011/12 season?
