Maria KeaneEric Maxim Choupo-Moting (32) from record champions Bayern Munich apparently injured his knee during training with the Africa Cup host Cameroon.
The attacker broke off the session on Thursday due to “acute pain in his right knee,” said press spokesman Serge Guiffo of the news agency AFP With. An examination in the evening should provide clarity about a possible failure.
The former Mainz-based Pierre Kunde Malong, as well as Jean Efala Konguep, Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui and Christian Bassogog, have since tested positive for the corona virus. All four went into isolation. Host Cameroon will start the tournament against Burkina Faso on January 9th.
