After the 2021 cup under ex-coach Markus Gisdol, Jannes Horn from 1. FC Köln was threatened by his own fans. The 25-year-old now said that sky. Horn then missed the decisive penalty.
“After that I came home and the next day I had a note in my mailbox that said: ‘We know where you live’,” said the man from Cologne: “It’s something that scares you a bit. “
In particular, the first few nights afterwards were not easy for him. He even thought about moving out. Teammates offered him help and he “spoke to people in the club because it wasn’t easy for me”.
After imageinformation, there were also threats to players and officials in the relegation battle. “Thank God we managed to stay in the league,” said Horn, probably for these reasons.
