Consultant already in Barcelona! Bayern loanee João Cancelo coming from Manchester City?

Agent Jorge Mendes was in Barcelona a few days ago to discuss a variety of issues with the Catalans. Like the Spanish Sports reported, it should also have been about a transfer from João Cancelo to Barça.

Accordingly, Mendes is currently working on accommodating his client at FC Barcelona – there is a cheap loan with a purchase option in the room, with the 28-year-old being open to a move to the Spanish metropolis.

The Catalans could thus follow a similar model to FC Bayern, who were awarded the contract by Manchester City in winter, although Barça were also interested in a deal at the time.

According to the report, Cancelo does not want to return to Manchester where he still has a contract until 2027. Bayern will also not exercise the 70 million euro purchase option for the Portuguese.

Meanwhile, Barça coach Xavi is said to be in favor of signing Juan Foyth from Villarreal FC, but the Argentinian’s €62m release clause is too high for the financially weak Blaugrana.
