A few weeks ago, Sebastian Kehl during his appearance in the current sports studio of the ZDF said that Marco Reus’ future at BVB will be clear before April. As is well known, the captain’s contract expires at the end of the season.

In a media round on Tuesday, Kehl said about the status of the negotiations: “I used the last week to have intensive talks and made progress there. But I can’t say more about Marco or other personal details at the moment. So far we’re not yet. We’re concentrating on the three games that lie ahead of us now.”

After the duel on Saturday at FC Bayern, Dortmund will play in the cup at RB Leipzig (April 5) and then meet Union Berlin (8 April).

However, BVB should be able to reach an agreement with Reus, who should sign a strongly performance-related contract and forego salary. Reus recently emphasized that he wanted to end his career in Dortmund as desired.

BVB, News: New documentary reveals details of the attack on Dortmund’s team bus

On April 11, 2017, in the run-up to the Champions League quarter-finals against AS Monaco, the BVB team bus was attacked as it was about to take the players to the stadium. Three bombs exploded next to the bus, and the defender at the time, Marc Bartra, suffered serious arm injuries.

The documentary also reveals that the pros found it difficult to play the game against Monaco the day after the attack, which ultimately ended up being lost 3-2. Nuri Sahin says: “I think nobody wanted to play.”

Watzke also admits that the relationship with Tuchel was damaged because it was decided to play the game the next day: “I think something broke between the coach and me. Otherwise the separation in the summer would probably not have happened .”

BVB, News: Hansi Flick criticizes Dortmund’s Marius Wolf

Marius Wolf was in the German national team for the first time in the international matches against Peru and Belgium and was also used in both games. While the Dortmund right-back played well against Peru, Wolf, like the rest of the team, was a disappointment against Domenico Tedesco’s men.

Before the early goal to make it 0-1, Wolf lost the decisive duel against goal scorer Yannick Carrasco. National coach Hansi Flick criticized him for this.

“Marius mustn’t go with the pace. He has to slow down and takes too much risk,” said Flick and continued: “He has to leave him on the outside lane. He had some yards to gain and tried everything. You can see in this scene , with what passion the team actually plays. That’s what brought us back.”
