Corentin Tolisso will apparently be missing from Bayern Munich longer than initially assumed. The midfielder tore a muscle fiber during the away game at SC Freiburg on Saturday. That reports the image-Newspaper.
Tolisso, who has been thrown back by injuries more than once this season, is threatened with a compulsory break of three to four weeks.
The Frenchman came on for Leon Goretzka in the 62nd minute of Bayern’s 4-1 win, but left the field again in the 85th minute – when Bayern’s substitution caused a stir. Coach Julian Nagelsmann explained afterwards that Tolisso had run into the dressing room because of stomach problems.
But loud image the 27-year-old suffered his fourth muscle injury of the current season during his brief assignment. Tolisso only tore a muscle fiber in his left thigh in February. He was absent for several weeks at the beginning of the season due to calf problems, and towards the end of the first half of the season the midfielder also had to sit out due to injury.
Tolisso, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has only made 21 appearances in all competitions this season. He scored three goals.
