Whirlwind Dani Olmo will be absent from RB Leipzig for the time being. As the cup winner announced on Saturday, the Spanish international suffered a torn muscle in his left thigh in the win against VfB Stuttgart (2-1) the day before.
The offensive player, who had to be substituted at half-time, will “probably be out for several weeks”.
The 24-year-old had already been absent during the first half of the season due to a partial rupture of the left medial ligament. However, in time for the World Cup in Qatar, Olmo regained his fitness.
Most recently, the noble technician had played big. In the 6-1 win against Schalke 04 last Tuesday, he set up two goals and scored one himself with a wonderful lob.
