Maria KeaneEx-national player Dietmar Hamann has compared the recently blossoming Bayern star Leroy Sane with the six-time world footballer Lionel Messi (Paris Saint-Germain) because of his style of play. Like the Argentine, Sane sometimes “sneaks” across the square. Now it is important to permanently show a balanced body language.
Hamann said im image -Format “Bayern Insider” about Sane: “In terms of the facilities he is the most talented German player we have. He is on the right track. He has to bring this performance over several months and win games for FC Bayern.”
Sane, who moved from Manchester City to Munich for 45 million euros a year ago, had recently shown outstanding performances after weeks of mixed performances. This is one of the reasons why Hamann considers it difficult that the wing racer is often criticized for its body language. “Often the best players sneak across the pitch – see Messi. He has to find the balance. He has often been criticized unfairly. He’s like that, as a type you won’t change him.”
Sane currently has four goals and seven assists for Bayern this season. National coach Hansi Flick also sees a clear upward trend in the 37-time national player.
In one SID-Interview enthused the former FCB coach: “He floats with ease over the field, he has outstanding physical abilities. Now the self-confidence is back. Then actions succeed that did not succeed before”. In addition, Sane “now has the impulse to want to get back lost balls”.
