BVB, News: Reyna causes noise in the US team

So far, Giovanni Reyna has only been used sparingly at the World Cup in Qatar. He was only granted seven minutes of the game against England, and in the game against Wales he even sat on the bench for the full 90 minutes.

US trainer Gregg Berhalter had explained the few minutes with an injury to the BVB star. “He’s a member of this team that we care about and that we know can help the team. It’s about when he can help us and how he can help us,” Berhalter said at a press conference.

According to ex-Bundesliga professional Eric Wynalda, however, this is not true. Opposite of LA Times the former player of 1. FC Saarbrücken and VfL Bochum raises serious allegations against Berhalter. According to Wynalda, he deliberately did not let Reyna play.

“Reyna was fit to [gegen Wales] to play. Berhalter lied to the media saying it was an injury. Even his own teammates want to see him on the field. There seems to be an internal dispute with coach Gregg Berhalter,” said Wynalda. He personally learned this from a conversation with Reyna’s father Claudio.

Berhalter has already responded to the allegations, but firmly denies a rift with Reyna. “I’m just not like that. I don’t represent that. So if you want to take Eric’s word or my word or whatever, feel free to do so, but I know what happened.”

BVB, News: Dortmund has competition with Kudus

Borussia Dortmund apparently faces well-known competition in the race for World Cup participant Mohammed Kudus. Again telegraph reports that Liverpool are interested in the 22-year-old from Ajax Amsterdam. The Reds are therefore planning a January transfer of the Ghana international. Liverpool’s city rivals Everton are also said to be interested in kudus.

With two goals, the midfielder was mainly responsible for Ghana’s important 3-2 victory in the second World Cup group match against South Korea on Monday evening. After the game, national coach Otto Addo couldn’t stop raving.

“He’s a great player, is incredibly fast and has a lot of intelligence. Mohammed has a great character. He’s on the right path to becoming a really great player,” said Addo, praising the Ajax Amsterdam midfielder.

Among other things, Kudus is considered a possible new signing at BVB. In October, the 22-year-old’s advisor is said to have even stayed in Dortmund for talks. With his dual function as Ghana’s national coach and talent trainer at BVB, Addo is considered a possible bargaining chip for a change.

Kudus had caught the eye of some of Europe’s top clubs with 12 goals and two assists in 23 games at Ajax this season.

BVB, rumor: Bellingham falls out of the England starting XI

England will probably start their last group game against Wales at the 2022 World Cup tomorrow Tuesday without BVB star Jude Bellingham. The 20-year-old midfielder should, according to the Daily Mail be replaced by Jordan Henderson in the starting XI.

After beating Iran 6-2 in their opening game, the Three Lions put in an unsatisfactory performance in a 0-0 draw against the USA in the second group game.

Among other things, Bellingham had to leave the field after a poor performance in the middle of the second half, while Gareth Southgate tried to create new momentum with Jack Grealish and Jordan Henderson. England can make it through to the World Cup Round of 16 with a draw against Wales.

Since making his debut in November 2020, Bellingham has won 19 caps for England. He scored his only goal for the national team at the start of the World Cup against Iran (6-2), when he scored to make it 1-0 for the English. He has been on the field for 159 minutes at the finals in Qatar.

BVB, News: Dortmund wins a friendly in Malaysia

In front of more than 30,000 football fans, Borussia Dortmund also won the second test on its trip to Southeast Asia. In Malaysia, BVB won 4-1 (2-1) against the Johor Southern Tigers.

Justin Njinmah (11th), Donyell Malen (31st), Ole Pohlmann (60th) and Samuel Bamba (69th) scored for Dortmund.

Last Thursday, coach Edin Terzic’s team beat the Lion City Sailors in Singapore (7:2). On Wednesday Dortmund will play Vietnam’s national team in Hanoi and then travel back.
