Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic is hoping for Nico Schlotterbeck to play in the Bundesliga season finale. The national player had to be substituted after 25 minutes of the new leaders’ 4-0 (3-0) win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening with thigh problems.
“We hope it’s not that dramatic and we’ll benefit from the fact that we took him down early and threw in someone with Niklas Süle who was able to pick up immediately and showed a good performance,” said Terzic sky.
§He grabbed his thigh at some point during the run and came to the dugout. He really wanted to keep playing, but we also have to learn. It wasn’t long ago that he pulled himself together in Munich and then he wasn’t able to play for weeks,” added Terzic.
Schlotterbeck had already complained about problems in his thigh after the international match against Peru at the end of March and then injured himself in the top game at Bayern Munich in early April.
Against Frankfurt he made his comeback, which was quickly over. BVB goes into the final five matches with a one-point lead over series champions Munich.
