Ex-BVB star Thomas Delaney is said to come from Sevilla FC

Thomas Delaney is about to return to the Bundesliga. Again table football and the picture report, the former BVB star should switch from FC Sevilla to TSG Hoffenheim. The aim is to report completion by the weekend.

Delaney is unhappy in Seville. In Hoffenheim they are looking for a replacement for Grischa Prömel, who has suffered a serious ankle injury. Negotiations for a Delaney transfer are said to be about a loan until the end of the season. The 31-year-old is under contract with the LaLiga club until 2025.

Delaney is only a part-time employee in Seville and has already expressed his dissatisfaction in the run-up to the World Cup. At the time, the Dane told the Ritzau agency: “It’s no secret that things haven’t gone as I expected, either for Sevilla as a club or for me personally.” And he also said: “Of course it’s frustrating. I didn’t go to Seville to drink Rioja and eat tapas.”

Thomas Delaney made his breakthrough as a professional at FC Copenhagen. In January 2017 he moved to Werder Bremen for a fee of two million euros. BVB signed him a year and a half later for 20 million euros. The move to Seville followed in 2021, and the Andalusians shelled out six million euros for him.

Delaney has played twelve games for Sevilla this season, but only two of them over the full 90 minutes. At the World Cup in Qatar, he only played 45 minutes for the Danish national team due to a knee injury.
