Before the game against Hertha BSC on Sunday, FC Bayern fans in the south curve made an announcement to the club bosses around CEO Oliver Kahn, President Herbert Hainer and Sport Director Hasan Salihamidzic.
The supporters showed on banners that were distributed over the curve how they imagine their FC Bayern.
Ten key points were listed under the heading “Our FC Bayern Ahead”: “Socially responsible”, “Member club”, “Part of the Bundesliga”, “Mia san Mia”, “With brain and heart”, “Red and white”, “Sustainable development”, “Regionally rooted”, “FC Bayern family” and “A club for everyone”.
Those responsible for Bayern have been heavily criticized for weeks – not least because of what happened around the dismissal of coach Julian Nagelsmann. This is particularly true for Kahn, who has been accused of poor communication and there has been heated speculation about his possible replacement at the end of the season.
Sporty things are not going well either. The Munich team were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the DFB Cup. Even the German championship, which has been reserved for FCB for the past ten years, is hanging by a thread.
