FC Bayern has apparently failed again with an offer for Konrad Laimer. According to information from picture Munich offered a transfer fee of 23 million euros including bonus payments for the Austrian. Laimer’s current club RB Leipzig, on the other hand, is demanding 30 million euros.

Bayern had previously submitted an initial offer of just over 20 million euros.

Negotiations would continue, but Leipzig wants to stand firm on the claim and, if in doubt, let Laimer go free next year. The 25-year-old’s contract expires in 2023. He is considered a dream player by Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann. At Bayern, Laimer could take the place of his former teammate Marcel Sabitzer, who Bayern would probably not put any stones in the way of a suitable offer.

Due to Leon Goretzka’s current injury, who recently had to undergo knee surgery, Laimer could also hope for playing time at Bayern in the early stages of the season. However, Nagelsmann recently gave clear praise to newcomer Ryan Gravenberch.

According to the report, Laimer himself is pushing for a quick decision in order to be able to complete parts of the preparation in Munich in the event of a change. Both clubs want to make a decision by the Supercup on July 30th.
