FC Bayern Munich is apparently about to transfer top talent Adam Aznou. That reports the Mundo Deportivo. The 15-year-old comes from FC Barcelona’s “La Masia” youth academy, and competitor Borussia Dortmund was also on the left-back.
Aznou will be allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer after June 30 as Aznou turns 16 next week. Numerous top international clubs are said to have been interested in the Spain U16 international, including Juventus Turin, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica Lisbon. Ultimately, however, it was probably a race between Bayern and BVB that Munich won.
A transfer from Aznou would also be a first for Bayern, as he would be the first player to come to Munich from the Barca forge. According to the report, the Catalans also wanted to keep Aznou, but the offer is said to have been the weakest financially of all their competitors.
In Munich, Aznou should initially be intended for the youth teams.
