FC Bayern – banner for support for Qatar: fans attack Uli Hoeneß

During the Bundesliga game between FC Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen on Friday evening, fans of the host rolled out a critical banner in the south stand. Goal: Uli Hoeneß.

“State visits, training camps, thousands of deaths for World Cup celebrations. It’s only better for your own conscience, Uli H.”, said the banner that was rolled out during the first half.

The supporters of FC Bayern positioned themselves against their former president, who last Sunday defended the award of the World Cup to Qatar and spoke of “better working conditions” in the desert state because the World Cup is taking place there.

An opinion that some fans in the Allianz Arena apparently did not share and now went on the offensive with a banner.

In the past there has been repeated criticism from fans and members of FC Bayern about the sponsorship relationship between the record champions and Qatar Airways.
