FC Bayern – comment on Sadio Mané: Nothing better can happen to FCB

Does Sadio Mané leave Bayern?

Saudi clubs are vying for Sadio Mané! A headline that should make every FC Bayern fan happy. A comment.

Pro-League promoted Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia apparently wants to force a transfer from Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mané – Al-Nassr and Ettifaq FC are also said to be interested in the Senegalese striker.

In the current transfer summer, that’s actually almost no longer a big headline, because similar to China a few years ago, the financially strong desert state from the Middle East is now attracting numerous (ageing) top stars to the local league. And while this development should by no means be condoned, it could be a real blessing for Bayern in the case of Manés.

The 31-year-old had recently been informed that he wanted to assert himself in his second year with the German record champions, but being a reserve player under new coach Thomas Tuchel in the last decisive games of the past season should have mapped out the future Bayern path – above all , if Harry Kane also comes.

Mané could therefore develop into perhaps the most expensive bank warmer in Bayern history – in addition to the 32 million euros transfer fee that Bayern transferred to Liverpool a year ago, there is a princely salary of over 20 million euros per year. After Mané’s contract on the Isar runs until 2025, these would still be outstanding costs of around 40 million euros.

Sadio Mané: That chance may never come again

It is almost impossible to find a club that would pay a hefty fee for the former Premier League star in view of the recent performance and also provide him with a similarly high salary – if it weren’t for Al-Ahli and Saudi Arabia, where money is not an issue anyway.

And now Mané also seems to be able to make friends with a change, so nothing better could happen to Bayern.

Instead of writing off Mané to the grave of millions, who, like his buddy Bouna Sarr, is sitting on the chairs in the Allianz Arena from his well-paid contract, Bavaria could still pull itself out of the affair financially.

So it can only mean: sell, and fast! This chance may never come again…
